Good teaching is more the giving of right questions than the giving of right answers

Online sessions are $70 per hour ($75 for calculus, college algebra, chemistry and biology (free for Catholic Questions)) and there are discounts for multiple sessions in a week, or for SAT/ACT prep packages of 3 or 5 lessons. There may also be promotions throughout the year.

In person sessions are an additional $25-$35 depending on the distance from MT+ as explained in the question below.

Yes. Although we primarily offer online tutoring services, we also offer in person tutoring 0-5 miles from Math Tutor Plus. The additional cost varies depending on the distance from Math Tutor Plus: Palm Beach County Main Library on Summit Blvd $25; 1-5 miles $35. (map)

It is even more effective! Almost every student that tries online tutoring with Math Tutor Plus prefers the online setting. It keeps them focused in the comfort of their own home, less distracted, and engaged with the colorful technology, graphs, formulas and other tools that are at their and their instructor's fingertips. They are more attentive and learn better! It is rare that a student prefers face to face tutoring over online tutoring after experiencing it with Math Tutor Plus. Moreover, time, expense, and the dangers of traveling by car, or the spread of colds... are avoided. Finally, a helpful and colorful pdf file of all the problems covered in the session is emailed to the student at the end of each session capturing all the work in a digital format for future and easy reference.

The student simply goes to our Tutoring Rooms page at the appointed tim, and the student will be tutoring right away! 

Math Tutor Plus uses Google Meet (and in rare instances Zoom or Microsoft Teams) as its tutoring platform. No app or download is necessary! The student simply clicks on our Tutoring Rooms page at the appointed time, and the student will be admitted into the Google Meet room right away!

No. If the student has a touchscreen, it can be useful, but it is not necessary at all! The student should have paper and pencil/pen handy. A calculator is helpful too. That's all the student will need.

Yes. Even if the student does not have a touchscreen computer or tablet, the student can write on Math Tutor Plus' interactive Whiteboard as can the tutor, and both the student and the tutor will be able to see each other's writing simultaneously.

Yes. The tutor can and will share his or her screen so that the student can see what the tutor is writing and demonstrating, and likewise, the student will be able to share his/her screen so that the tutor can see it, including any problems on the student wants to work on.

Yes. The student can even tutor straight from their phone!

Tutoring appointments are available Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 9 pm, Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sundays when necessary. We're open for taking calls 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Sunday.

Payment is expected prior to the tutoring session to secure your reserved time and to finalize the booking.

Payments can be made through Zelle, Venmo, Cash App or Paypal. If you have a Paypal account, you can link credit cards and other forms of payment to Paypal such as Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Cancelations or rescheduling must be made 24 hours prior to the appointment for a full refund/credit by texting or calling (561) 444-7224, or by emailing help@mathtutorplus.com.
